Zambia has permitted all goods to transit through its borders without any tag of essential or non-essential, Commerce, Trade and Industry Permanent Secretary, Mushuma Mulenga has said. Mr Mulenga sad the move was aimed at revivng cross border trade in regions such as the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA)  under the new normal- Coronavirus (COVID-19) response. “ What Zambia may classify as essential may be non-essential for another country, that is why we have decided to reopen the borders,   of course in cognizance of the health guidelines,” Mr Mulenga said Source: Times of Zambia Newspaper.
